On June 30, the Ministry of Public Security of Vietnam launched a prosecution and arrested six leaders and former leaders of Binh Duong province related to violations on management and use of land, capital, and assets of the Party and state at 3/2 Corporation.

The decision to prosecute the above accused was made about two weeks after General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong chaired a meeting on June 18 to discipline a number of leading officials and former provincial leaders.

The violations related to the management and use of land and assets at the 3/2 Corporation were pointed out by the authorities related to the following contents: leaving 43 hectares of land (Tan Phu urban area) and the 145 ha land area (a golf course project) once managed by an enterprise under the Provincial Party Committee has now been converted to a private enterprise,” Vietnamese media reported.
